The Ship
« The goal was simple: to build the best yachts in the world »
Profile
“Ballerina” was built in Finland in 1982 as one of twenty-four Baltic 51-type sailing yachts. When designing the hull of the Baltic 51 at the end of the 1970s, C&C utilised comprehensive computer-assisted performance analyses for the very first time, the detail and scope of which still exceed some of Baltic Yachts’ modern-day projects.
As a result, “Ballerina” is living proof that speed, comfort, safety and ease of manoeuvrability on board can all be combined within one and the same ship. One Design? No way! Every Baltic 51 is unique, as each yacht has its own configuration and thus its very own style and character. Crafted by hand and maintained with a lot of love and care, “Ballerina” is in excellent and ocean-worthy condition.

Features
The sailing yacht is fully equipped. On board, you will find all the usual navigation devices and tools (GPS, AIS, radar, etc.) as well as comprehensive safety equipment, including a life raft, signal flares, fire extinguisher, life vests, life belts, EPIRB, an FM radio transmitter and receiver, satellite phone, echo sounder and dinghy. For convenience on board, the yacht is equipped with autopilot, a wind generator, hydraulic kicking strap, hydraulic backstay tensioner, 220V inverters and WIFI.
Three electric winches make the work on deck easier. Below deck, a combined fridge-freezer, porcelain crockery, high-quality bedding and bed linen made of microfibre fleece, a great sound system with Bluetooth connection, and a few page-turners in the onboard library are just some of the features that make life on board so enjoyable. “Ballerina” sails under laminate sails (sandwich sails) with tri-radial cut and a full-batten mainsail.
Layout
Our sailing yacht is approved for up to ten people; to ensure maximum comfort and individual supervision, we offer room for five guests. There is 2.05 metres of standing room on board. There are three double cabins: the bow and owners’ cabin (Queen Suite); the skipper’s cabin amidships (starboard), and the “Library” (port side), which can easily be converted into a single cabin. There are two wet rooms on board, each equipped with a toilet and freshwater shower. The pantry offers sufficient room to cook in comfort, and the spacious salon with a big table and padded seats offers you space in which to relax.

A declaration of love – or how it all started
Here we invite you to follow the observations of your Skipper and share with you his very personal statement of how he sees the ship, rather being a very nice “declaration of love” to the ship. He wrote it in French, his mother tongue, and he also has an English translation for you.
